Forest Hill, Maryland---Sleep late, eat breakfast, read in the hammock, eat lunch, drive to the store for more food, read in a chair, take a nap, play with Gus the dog, get ready for supper.
I did all that while Debbie did the laundry, cooked the meals, washed the dishes---I am such a bum.
Supper was at the
Portside Grille overlooking the Susquehanna River---great BBQ shrimp
and crab-stuffed flounder accompanied by an exquisite sunset. Unfortunately,
we drove over a big rock on the way home and crushed the oil pan ---good
thing it’s just a Honda!

Mahwah, New Jersey---An easy drive to the northern edge of New Jersey to begin seeing old BMWs gathering at the hotel and in the parking lot at BMW headquarters. Actually, there are 27 cars at HQ that were shipped over from Europe and we're joining them tomorrow.

Lime
Rock Racetrack CT. After gathering at BMW Corporate HQ this morning,
washing cars, and getting last minute preparations finished, we finally
hit the road. Old cars and motorcycles first, starting with number one,
a 1927 BMW motorcycle that plugs along at 45mph wherever it goes. We
passed it later in the day parked beside a local Connecticut pub, we
think.
Our route covered just about 100 miles today getting us from northern
NJ, across a bit of NY, and then to Lime Rock. At one point we were
driving in a group of old BMWs headed by a 502, then a 3200CS, then
us, then a 1600 Cabrio, a 3.0Csi, and a Z1. Wow!
At days end we boarded busses for our hotel in Waterbury, leaving our
cars on display at the BMW section of the racetrack.
